Spanish soprano Pilar Alva-Martín began her musical education as a violinist, later deciding to pursue a vocal career and moving to Switzerland to begin her studies at the Haute École de Musique of Lausanne with Stephan MacLeod. She obtained her Master de Soliste in June 2023 with a special mention from the jury.

During the 2025-2026 season Pilar will debut at the Palau de les Arts in Valencia performing Händel’s Messiah with the Valencia Symphony Orchestra. She will also debut in Malta with Forma Antiqva and at the Opera de Tenerife’s artistic season  performing the role of Serpilla in Il Giocatore by Jommelli. Pilar will also perform Händel’s Dixit Dominus and Vilvaldi’s Gloria with Capriccio Barockorchester, sing Mozart’s Requiem at the cathedrals of Geneva and Sion (Switzerland) and perform Officium Defunctorum by Tomas Luis de Victoria with Gli Angeli at the Victoria Hall.
